Del 4 al 6 de septiembre de 2025 pudimos participar como organización benéfica en la 29ª Eurofurence en Hamburgo. ¡Entre pelusas y pleno amor por los animales, se recaudaron para nuestros protegidos la increíble cifra de 51.081,88 euros!

Nuestro equipo tuvo el privilegio de informar sobre la protección animal y recolectar donaciones en el centro de exposiciones CCH durante cuatro días completos como parte de Eurofurence, la convención anual furry más grande y antigua de Europa.

El término Furry (alemán Fluffy/felpa) se deriva de la palabra inglesa. Para (piel/piel) y describe una comunidad de personas interesadas en animales creados artísticamente con características humanas. La mayoría de los miembros crean sus propios personajes y los producen y muestran con gran atención al detalle.

El gran interés por la protección de los animales y el amor por los animales en el lugar incluso superó las expectativas de nuestro equipo y de los voluntarios que nos apoyaron. Los visitantes de la feria no sólo se mostraron totalmente imparciales con la perra Mina (bull terrier*), la hija peluda de nuestra primera presidenta Janet Bernhardt, sino que, por el contrario, estuvieron llenos de afecto y muchos mimos. "Fue fantástico ver una comunidad que acogía a cada ser de forma tan abierta y amorosa. ¡Todos nos sentimos muy cómodos!" dijo Janet.

Entre grandes conversaciones y animados intercambios, en nuestro stand y en el recinto se recogieron donaciones que se destinarán a nuestra labor de protección de los animales. En total, se recaudó la increíble cantidad de 51.081,88 euros para nuestros protegidos.

Durante una conferencia de una hora sobre nuestro trabajo, las ponentes Laura Hoffmann y Luisa Finsterwalder (empleadas del departamento de relaciones públicas) conocieron a personas interesadas y luego pudieron responder algunas preguntas interesantes.

Cuando tuvieron la oportunidad de dar las gracias en el escenario, Janet y Luisa casi se quedaron sin palabras. "Estamos abrumados por la generosidad de la comunidad; no esperábamos una cantidad tan grande", dijo Janet.

En este punto nos gustaría agradecer especialmente a Sniffer y Mystifur, sin cuya invitación y compromiso no hubiéramos sido parte de esta gran campaña. Thank you furry much! Huge donations at Eurofurence

From 4th to 6th September 2025, we had the privilege of participating as a charity organisation at the 29th Eurofurence in Hamburg. Amidst fluffiness and boundless love for animals, an incredible 51.081,88 euros where raised for our shelter!

For four whole days, our team had the privilege of providing information about animal welfare and collecting donations at the CCH exhibition centre as part of Eurofurence, Europe's largest and oldest annual furry convention.

The great interest in animal welfare and love for animals on site exceeded even the expectations of our team and the supporting volunteers. Even towards Mina (Bull Terrier*), the furry child of our 1st chairwoman Janet Bernhardt, the visitors to the covention were not only completely unprejudiced, but on the contrary, full of affection and supported her with lots of cuddles. ‘It was great to see a community that welcomes every creature so openly and lovingly. We all felt very at home!’ Janet.

Between great conversations and lively exchanges, donations were collected at our stand and donations on the premises also went towards our animal welfare work. In total, an incredible amount of 51.081,88 euros was collected for our shelter.

During a one-hour presentation about our work, speakers Laura Hoffmann (Public Relations) and Luisa Finsterwalder (Public Relations) met with interested individuals and also got the chance to answer some exciting questions.

When given the opportunity to express their gratitude on stage, Janet and Luisa were almost lost for words. ‘We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the community; we did not expect such a large amount,’ Janet.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our special thanks to Sniffer and Mystifur, without whose invitation and commitment we would not have been able to take part in this wonderful event.
